2008

I want to take a moment and thank all of my friends, family, and clients for the fun times I has this year and for all the love and support. I owe all I have to God and feel truly blessed to have had some great opportunities and experiences this year. It was packed with so many new things and I would have never guessed where the road was going to lead. Please stick with me as we enter the new year. I have some new things in the works that I am very excited about. I also will have some big announcements coming this spring. I know that 2009 is going to bring some really big changes for me that I am very scared about, but also very excited about. It is going to be a year of learning, leaning, and understand. I hope to have my next post be on the new blog which will be up next month. I will also take some time to look back at the past year with some images that have not been posted on my blog. For now go see the new wedding website. Here is a screen preview of the new website that was just launched.

Go check it out and watch for some new images to be loaded. I also got my Christmas present to myself last Friday. I was sure that I wasn't going to get it by the end of the year. Especially since I wanted to test drive it as my friend's wedding last Saturday since I was not their wedding photographer. Well, just as we were packing the car I got a message that my new Canon 5d Mark II was in. We picked it up on our way to Iowa and I had so much fun trying it out. I was blown away by it's awesomness...and since I was coming from a Canon 30D 8 megapixel camera to this amazing 21 megapixel camera I was almost in tears at how great it really was. I am going to have a blast shooting with this new camera and look forward to all the possibilities and challenges it will bring me! Here is my new baby:

I will be posting some images that I shot with it and some video in the future. Looking forward to 2009 with you.

New Things

Hello everyone! I hope that I haven't disappointed those of you who have been visiting my blog recently and have found nothing new. Well, I am working on something new here at Amy Rae Photography and I didn't feel it was right to make any new posts without a grand announcement. I am ready to show you all what I have been up to, but I have to have work out a few little details. Those are being taken care of by someone else....so as soon as they get things done for me, I will be posting something awesome here!!! It should be VERY soon!

Thanks for all your support!

Busy Busy Busy

WOW! I am amazed at all the love I get and how blessed with the weddings I get to do. With that comes a lot of work, time, and effort! It isn't easy and it for sure keeps me busy. I have some new things in mind for the upcoming year for my little business. There will be some new looks very very soon. I am head out to San Diego for an awesome workshop called Love Affair to revive my workflow, my images, my business, and my enthusiasm for everything photography. I will also learn how to manage myself, my family, my life all around this business. I am very excited for it and I am hoping that it will help me with all the new plans I have coming up.

In the mean time, here are a couple images from a wedding I did in October. They will give you a little flavor of things to come. I will be getting the full post up possibly shortly after I come back from San Diego.

ALBUMS!

I love it when my clients get albums! It is a great way to have a beautiful book to remember the wedding day and not just prints stacked in boxes!! It is fun for me to create the story and unfold all the events. The album company I am using rocks. They have so many book covers, sizes, colors, textures, and styles. They really offer a lot to the client and I am excited to start using more of their products. Here is an album I did this summer for a wedding that was shot in March!

D+K | Engaged Part 1

This was an engagement session I was really looking forward to because we got to go to two really fun locations that were perfect for the fall weather. The first was Aamodt's Apple Farm and winery in Stillwater and then we went wandering around downtown Stillwater for the second location. Those will be posted in another post. For now enjoy these images that were shot on an awesome day with gorgeous light!! Loved it!
